The PlanDeb and I are planning to take the month of June and drive from our home in New Jersey to Rocky Mountain National Park. We'll spend a week or so there, then drive on up to Oregon's Columbia River Gorge area for a few days. Eventually we'll head down to Yosemite National Park to meet up with her parents for a week. We spent a month driving cross-country a few years ago and loved it. We'll camp most of the time we're by ourselves, and do a lot of day-hiking. On our previous trip we limited our hiking to round trips of less than 3 miles. This time we're going to be much more ambitious; we've done a couple of 7 mile trails so far in New Jersey. We expect to be able to reasonably tackle 10 mile round trip hikes by the time we leave.
