Our Cross-Country Adventure back in 1995 was the best trip Deb and I have ever done, so we thought it would be great to do the same sort of thing for the honeymoon. After much discussion (good-natured), a plan was finally hatched - fly to San Fransisco and rent a convertible to drive up and down the coast. We didn't want to camp like we did on the big trip, so we found a bunch of Bed & Breakfasts as well as 2 nights in a cabin in Yosemite NP.
Everything went great. Of all the places we stayed, only one (the Benbow Inn in Garberville) was not really what we wanted - so we checked out and moved on. Our convertible, a Chrysler Sebring JX, was wonderful. The top hardly went up at all even on Tioga Pass (elevation 9950 ft) at 30 degrees. We did bundle up though.
